2-mar-2009: EU Environmental Council voted against the proposals of the European Commission to remove Austrian and Hungarian bans on transgenic corn - The Network expresses its satisfaction for the decision of a large majority of Environmental Ministries to maintain the national bans over transgenic corn.

14 feb 08: Germany's Upper House of Parliament gave the green light to a new "GM Free" label for foods that contain no genetically modified organisms.

 

feb 08: The French Government approved a moratorium on MON810 BT Maize. New German legislation on GM-free labeling. 

 

dec 07: Liability and Compensation Schemes for Damage Resulting from the Presence of Genetically Modified Organisms in Non-GM Crops:
A study  financed by the European Commission and realised by the Research Unit for European Tort Law of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in cooperation with ECTIL (European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law)
